YOU MUST TYPE THE FIRST NAME, LAST NAME AND UNIQUE EMAIL ADDRESS FOR EACH PARTICIPANT IN THE DESIGNATED COLUMNS. 

Filling out the form incorrectly may result in delayed processing of your registrations or inaccurate information being displayed on your participants certificates. 

How to Fill Out the Spreadsheet: It is important that you enter all of the necessary information such as first name, last name and email address for each participant in the specific designated columns on this form. Any information provided incorrectly will cause a delay in the processing of your registrations. Also you are responsible for the correct spelling of each of your participants’ information. Names are entered on the cards and certificates exactly as you provide them to us as the spreadsheet is directly downloaded to our database as is. If you have 8 or more paid participants then you will receive one complimentary registration.  Please indicate whom on your spreadsheet will be receiving the complimentary registration and do not include payment for that person. 

Submitting the Spreadsheet and Payment: After you have completed the spreadsheet you will be prompted in the checkout page to upload your spreadsheet. The spreadsheet must be uploaded as an .xls or .csv file. No other file formats will be accepted.  You will then enter all of your other information and your credit card information to pay. 

Next, enter the total quantity and type of registrations your are paying for (ie. ebook only, printed book, etc) and add to cart. Continue to the cart page to complete your transaction.

Preregistration ends 3 days prior to the class. A $5 late fee will be charged on any registrations received after the preregistration date.

This class is designed to teach the average person how to administer emergency first aid to an animal until veterinary care can be ascertained.

  • This is an interactive class with a live instructor.
  • Participants are required to have a stuffed animal to practice on, a good internet connection, video and audio access. Instructor MUST be able to view everyone in attendance.
  • Attendance and participation in the class is required for certification.
  • Only paid participants will be allowed to view the presentation. Make sure you pay for each person that will be in attendance.
  • Everyone must have a laptop or desktop computer with monitor to be able to view the presentation. Smartphones are greatly discouraged as the screen is too small to view the presentation.
    • If multiple paid participants are at the same location they may share the same device to attend the class however the instructor must see everyone clearly in the video window on zoom.
  • Class combines lecture, Q&A session, and interactive hands-on portion with feedback from the instructor.
  • Instructors are credentialed veterinary technicians and classes offer not only RACE approved CEU but certification in animal CPR, First Aid, and emergency response. We teach the most current method of animal CPR endorsed by the veterinary industry.

Zoom login information will be sent to you in your payment receipt after you have paid.

Registration Includes: An official certificate, a 2 year subscription to our online Animal Emergency Resource Center, your choice of the 88 page full color class manual either as an E-book (View Only/Cannot be Printed) or a printed copy  (additional $24.95), businesses, organizations and groups may request a professional, frameable certificate and window decal, to hang in their place of business to promote that their staff/members are certified.

Our program is based on the most current method of animal CPR which was developed by emergency veterinarians. This class is designed to teach the participant how to administer emergency CPR and first aid to an animal until veterinary care is ascertained.

Awards 3 RACE approved CE to veterinary technicians. Please be aware that the class does not award RACE approved CE to Veterinarians. Veterinarians will receive a certificate with 3 professional CEU. Due to the nature of the subject matter the class may be too basic for a licensed vet. (click here to read our continuing education policy for veterinary professionals)

Approved to award 3.5 CEU to CCPDT Dog Trainers, 3 CEU to members of Pet Sitters International, 3.5 CEU to members of IAABC and 3 CEU to members of NADOI.

Continuing Education Credits for Veterinary Technicians

  If you are a veterinary technician and want to receive RACE approved CE credit for completing this program we encourage you to create your free RACEtrack account with AAVSB. This site will sync to RACEtrack, the AAVSB’s CE tracking system, and provide a seamless connection between CE providers, licensees, and regulators. You will be able to access all of your CEU in one location and submit them to your state board.  If you choose not to use RACEtrack you will be required to write your CVT, RVT or LVT number and state of issue on the class roster with the instructor so we can provide you with a manual certificate.

About the Instructor

Amy D’Andrea MEd, RVT, CVT, VTS(EVN)
Amy has been a credentialed veterinary technician for over 28 years and holds registrations and certifications in multiple states.  She has both her Associates and Bachelors Degrees in Veterinary Technology and a Master’s in Education.  Amy completed training at Cornell University Veterinary School in canine and feline basic and advanced life support, earning a certification by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.   Most of her career has been dedicated to educating veterinary technicians working in numerous AVMA Accredited Veterinary Technology programs specializing in topics such as large and small animal nursing, veterinary practice management and equine sports medicine. She achieved the rank of Associate Professor and has become a renowned speaker, and author of 5 textbooks. Amy is proud to be the recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award, Distinguished Alumni Award and the Hill’s Scholarship and served on the Executive Board of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America in many positions including President in 2006.  Additionally, Amy served on the organizing committee for the Academy of Equine Veterinary Nursing Technicians and was the chairperson for the Committee on Veterinary Technician Specialties for a number of years.
